Concert 2

20 March 2022

The Wallace Collection

The Wallace Collection is led by John Wallace, renowned international trumpet soloist, leading arts educationalist, composer, conductor and former Principal of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

With a mission to promote the diverse world of brass music, The Wallace Collection aims to inspire, entertain, develop, educate and innovate. Equally at home with world premieres as well as exploring and researching the forgotten heritage of 19th century brass music, they are passionate about working with young people and in the brass band community.

Tonight's programme combines Beethoven and Gabrieli classics with some rarities that deserve to be better-known, and improvisation with conches and didjeridus as well as conventional brass!
