Genovia Bassoon Quartet

Gillian Horn, Victoria Lopez, Rhiannon Carmichael and Greg Crowley are all graduates of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and have been playing together for over ten years. The quartet has four distinctive voices which they often use to represent the different sections of the orchestra, yet they will snap back to a unique blend of sound instantly when required.

Always endeavouring to explore many styles of music, they put their own stamp on even the most iconic of works. Their wide-ranging repertoire includes baroque, contemporary classical, jazz, folk and free improvisation.

As well as teaching, individual members of the group have performed and toured with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Scottish Ballet Orchestra. Genovia are part of Classical Musicians Scotland.
